Pennine Journey on TV. Stuart Maconie, Society Honorary Member, follows in the footsteps of AW and reveals the surprising secrets of a marathon expedition he made along the length of the Pennines on the eve of the Second World War in the BBC’s 'Inside Out' programme. During the programme Wainwright Society chairman Eric Robson with members Heather and David Pitt and Ron Scholes were interviewed - at Settle, Blanchland and Housesteads.
The film was screened in two parts on Monday 18th October and Monday 25th October, at 7.30 p.m as part of the BBC's Inside Out programme.
